I can't say it's all been bad; in fact, it's actually been rather fun....climbing ladders, using power tools.
We have pulled nearly 3000 feet of wiring into the house....I wore blisters on my hands using the tools of an electrician...I keep forgetting that is what gloves are for.
The pantry stands at the ready....
It was my job to staple off all the insulation....a job that is surprisingly satisfying.....I even used the chop saw to cut the various boards for backing...I'm afraid of the saws, they are so powerful and dangerous, but I got pretty comfortable eventually. This is one corner of my studio...the longarm will go along the left wall, and my stash will take up residence on the right.....I cannot believe that this is all becoming real....it has been such a long, hard journey getting to this place...
And so, I now return to being a quilter....No more ladders to climb, no more power tools....back to the tools of my trade---the rotary cutter, rulers, thread, and fabric, glorious fabric.
